For those who don’t know, TweakUI is a PowerToy that was available for Windows XP that allowed end-users to highly tweak the operating sytem. Unfortunately, until now, converters to Vista have not had a tool to help with this tweaking. Now there is Ultimate Windows Tweaker, built specifically for Vista. Security and usability tweaks are supported in this version as well as other categories. Take a look at this tool if you are a Vista user and would like to make personalized tweaks to your PC.

Another Vista Flaw???

October 24, 2008

I am not bashing the recent operating system to come out from good old Money bags but how much more can users take. Earlier today an article came from the New York Times titled “Attack Code for critical Microsoft bug surfaces”. The article goes on to state how a user could right a code and take over control of a computer running Windows Server very easily. Does any one remember how many errors or bugs came with the roll out of XP. I can not for the life of me remember near the amount of problems that this new “better” operating system is creating. Maybe it is a bias coming from a Mac user. I can not however remember anything software wise that have come out of Apple that has created the same hype and negative buzz that Vista has lately been doing. Any thoughts on this?? The article link for anyone wanting to read it is: http://www.nytimes.com/external/idg/2008/10/23/23idg-Attack-code-for.html.
